Once a month, the Slow Fashion Book Club explores the intersection between fashion, environmentalism and social issues through a selected book. What impact does design, aesthetics and our sartorial choices have on the people around us and the planet?

We're very proud to have a special guest with us for the September session: Professor Hazel Clark at Parsons School of Design, joining us digitally from New York. Dr. Clark teaches fashion studies and design studies in the School of Art and Design History and Theory (ADHT), where she initiated the MA in Fashion Studies, and the former MA in Design Studies. She has previously served as Interim Dean of the School of Fashion, and as Acting Director, MA Fashion Studies at Parsons Paris.

Meet at International Library of Fashion Research at 18:30, where we'll gather around the table for a digital meeting, where Dr. Clark will tell us about her latest book Slow. The book explores fashion's cultural role as a potential force for, not against, sustainability, and we'll have one of our regular, informal discussions afterwards. See you there!
