International Library of Fashion Research presents the Slow Fashion Book Club! Once a month, the book club will explore the intersection between fashion, environmentalism and social issues through a selected book. What impact does design, aesthetics and our sartorial choices have on the people around us and the planet? Slow Fashion Book Club is an open reading group for all seasoned industry nerds and curious newcomers.
This month's book is Stygt og Pent by Ragnhild Brochmann, which consists of a collection of essays from her columns in Morgenbladet about why the world looks like it does - including why we dress like we do - and how we talk about visual culture.
We'll read parts 1 and 2 of the book before we meet up and discuss on Wednesday, 15th of January 2025 at 18.45-20.00. Welcome!
